There and back again...

Since last month, January has come and gone, and so have I!

I was in Romania for a couple of days to catch up with my life and family but also to think through what I want to do next! It is not very easy but I think I have taken the right decision, to leave!

Beginnings and endings are always hard but I do believe that sometimes there is no other way to take your life back than to leave and start again. Therefore, I have left Brussels after 5 months and I am now enjoying my first day back in Oxford, England. I cannot explain how tired I am but at the same time how relieved I am.

Now it's time to start anew and the good thing is no one is really expecting anything of me for now. SO a clean slate! I have already gone and involved myself into some projects and am loving the freedom that I have, hope it stays that way!

It's been another year

 Hello, you, it's been a little over a year since the last update, can you believe it? Reading the last post I realised that it was right before our most amazing trip to Japan, which is now our most favourite travel destination. It was so magical, the architecture, nature, cuisine, trains, and everything about it has been phenomenal. So phenomenal that we're already planning our return, next March to explore the north of the country, from Akita and Sendai to Aomori and Sapporo, in the time between seasons changing, between winter and spring, snow and cherry blossoms, nature's time of rebirth. Back in sunny Oxford but still have the India blues

It has been almost a month since I left India but India has never left me, or my heart! England has been most welcoming, with warm and sunny days that try to lure me back into its fast moving life. I admit that since I returned I have not had a moment of silence, peace or meditation, always working, always studying, always somewhere to go and something to do. I feel tired but I also feel melancholic, I feel that some part of me is missing and yes, I miss India! Even though I will hopefully return next summer, it seems like aeons from now. I am now busy planning my next adventures, including securing my work placement year that I want to undertake abroad, maybe in India, maybe in the US, maybe in Dubai, who knows where this theatre play called life will throw me. Nevertheless, I have other smaller adventures to look forward to, a week holiday back home in Romania and a weekend away backpacking in Poland for my 21st birthday. Day 13 in Zambia- Friday and New Moon!

Happy to announce that I know feel perfectly at ease with my life in Lusaka, I am into my routine and making good friends at the places where I work. My family here is very supportive and I am learning a lot, especially about Indian cuisine, which I love. On the 12th, I spent the day at Libala High School, where we had the Interact meeting and we discussed all the projects, fundraisers and competitions that we are planning to implement. Moreover, I got to catch up on all the admin work and formal writing for all the projects as well as wrote some more for my Bali Conference application, that would be amazing to attend. Today, I also spent my day at Libala High School and loved it!!! We had a workshop on research project writing and then it all degenerated in a talent show, from singing to dancing to tattooing my arms with their pens.
