Back again, 2 years is a long time and no time at all
Seems like there's something about particular seasons, dates, times of life that make you want to reminisce , reconnect and write?! Here I am again, now two years later, I kept meaning to come write some more during a few trips but never managed to. So much has happened in my life and the world since the last update, not least the rise of GenAI, but for this , it's all me you get.
Since the last time we talked I changed jobs, the time I was writing it was already a seed in my soul and I followed through with it. My new job is much more challenging but also rewarding, in learning and growing and helping others do the same, and yes I am working with AI everyday. Now in terms of travel, family, life, well it's all good, and there has been plenty of good times since the last post.
I'm trying to remember all of it, but will probably need to check my travel app for it, we've been back to Japan and for the first time to Taiwan, which was amazing, we loved Beitou, a small onsen town near Taipei, and in Japan it was lovely to reconnect with friends and visit Enoshima island. We also spent some weekends away in Berlin, Amsterdam, Faro in Portugal which was fabulous (and my mom and I saw our first whale ever there, in the wild). Some more trips back to the homeland, America and more plans for new adventures next year, especially S Korea for the first time, a train adventure in Norway and Sweden and a road trip in Canada from Calgary to Vancouver, as you can tell a lot of our trips involve nature, and that's on purpose, I feel like we're getting more and more disconnected by being too digitally connected and I'm m working on solving that for our family at least.
I've also made progress on my book that I've been delaying for years, and this winter I'll go back home to do some editing and checking with my grandma, for accuracy. I'm also planning to publish it as a sub stack series and maybe even a short podcast. Who knows, but I know that I want it out in the world and thinking about self publishing it on Amazon. We will see what the new year brings, in excited though!
I'm also a little tired and trying to manage life, for the now, while planning for the what next, it's going well, but I'm definitely excited for a long three weeks off at the end of the year. I also booked a few days in the mountains with my family, just to chill, enjoy the snow, bbq outside, play around and just relax together like we used to. It's good to be back old friend, and no, I won't promise to be back sooner this time, I'll just see you later.
Love and light, always xx
